General Information

Fuller House is a Netflix original series and the sequel to the hit comedy Full House, that was broadcasted from 1987 till 1995 and has been in syndication ever since. The first, 13-episode season, was available worldwide on Netflix from February 26, 2016. The first episode being a reunion show of Full House, starring almost the entire cast.
The family friendly comedy Full House told the story of Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), whose best friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) and brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) moved in to help him raise his three daughters D.J. (Candace Cameron-Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen) after his wife Pam died in an accident involving a drunk driver. During the show we also met D.J.'s best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) and Jesse's Wife Rebecca (Lori Loughlin) and their sons Nicky and Alex (Blake & Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit), and Steve (Scott Weinger), D.J.'s long time boyfriend. In Fuller House history is repeated. After D.J.'s husband Tommy Fuller died, she is left to raise her three sons all by herself. Fortunately, her sister Stephanie and her best friend Kimmy Gibbler move in with her to help her raising her boys.

 Original Cast Reunited

The original cast of Full House returns for the sequel Fuller House. Although the show revolves around D.J. Stephanie, Kimmy and D.J.'s kids, the other familiar characters will make one or more guest appearances. The only character missing will be Michelle Tanner, as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen decided not to return for the reunion show.

Fuller House also introduces new characters, like D.J.'s sons Jackson (Michael Campion), Max (Elias Harger) and Tommy jr. (Dashiell & Fox Messitt) and Kimmy's daughter Ramona (Soni Bringas).

 The Story

Fuller House will focus on D.J. Tanner-Fuller, who is a widowed veterinarian, living in San Francisco and raising two sons, 12 year old J.D. and 7 year old Max, and is pregnant with her third child. Her sister Stephanie Tanner, who has become an aspiring musician, moves in with her to help her raise her kids. Another familiar face that will move in with them is Kimmy Gibbler, still D.J.'s best friend, and her teenage daughter Ramona.
The first episode will be a Full House reunion, with John Stamos guest starring as Jesse Katsopolis. There's also talks with the other Full House stars to make guest appearances on the show.

 Show Title

When first reading the title, one might think the show is about a house that is even more crowded than the 9 people who lived in the Tanner household by the end of Full House. But in fact, the title of the show seems to refer to the surname of D.J.'s belated husband, Tommy Fuller.

 Compared To Full House

The premise of both Full House and Fuller House is a single parent raising three children, with help from their best friend and a close family member.
They turned the premise of Full House around though, the sequel is about a widowed mother with three boys, where Full House was about a widower with three girls.
